第1集に続いて、ヒットソングの週刊誌、紙製のSPレコードのヒット・オブ・ザ・ウイークのなかから精選した当時のヒットソングを知る貴重なアルバム。現在でも歌われている曲が多数あるので、比較するのも興味があります。とくに、当時は曲の演奏のなかの一部として歌手がとりあげられていますが、現在のオーケストラが歌手の伴奏をするのとは対照的です。第2集は「ヒット・オブ・ザ・ウィーク」の1931~1932年に発売されたものから、精選したもので、さらに身近な曲が多くなって います。70年以上を経た現在でも音質も想像以上に良好なものに驚かされます。第1集と合わせてご鑑賞下さい。
